Although our home sale process was challenged by family illness and distance, Reiko made everything so easy for us with kindness, patience, and professionalism. Reiko hustles! We worked with Reiko to find and buy our first Maui condo. We can be pretty demanding and are always asking for more information. Reiko was always very responsive, within minutes, and would do whatever it takes to find out whatever it is we would ask of her. Even after we moved in, Reiko continued to be helpful and took time out of her schedule, including driving cross-island, to make sure we had everything we needed. She even brought us goodies to make sure we had everything we needed during COVID. We are now all set and enjoying our new home. Mahalo!

To anyone considering buying on Maui, I would highly recommend Reiko Hata. I ran into her while she was showing a condo at a property we were renting at. I told her we were interested in buying a place, but it would be a couple years out before the timing was right. While most realtors would smile and blow us off as looky-loos, Reiko took my contact information, and for the following two years, we exchanged information - she showing me what was available and me telling her what appealed to me and what price point I was at. How many realtors do you know that would bother doing that? Anyhow, when the time came to buy, we flew over and she took a gaggle of me and my extended family through a tour of properties she selected which matched my criteria. She didn't waste our time with stuff I didn't want - each of these properties were right in line with what I was looking for. At the end of the day, Reiko found us the absolute perfect match for our second home.She then guided us through the offer and sales process, both locally and remotely, as this took longer than our time on Maui. She did the back end stuff, like supervise the inspection, and got us set up with a property management firm that has turned out to be a great asset.So this was a two year sales cycle, where Reiko was attentive to each detail along the way. I can't tell you how much I appreciated that level of dedication and expertise.This is the realtor you want, especially if you live remotely. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!
